strength of front GQ tail shaft

hey guys wondering if i could use my front tail shaft on the rear after i get it shortened
reason being i have extended the wheel base and got dual transfers so the length is custom

When you think about it bartso.the front tail shaft transmits 50% of power when you in 4wd,so therefor it would be as tough as the rear.thats my $0.02 cents anyways,sorry i couldnt be of any more help

they are not physically as big, but the worst it breaks and you lock the front in. are you sure the flanges are the same. i know either the f and r of the gu or gq pair were different i just can't remember which.

pinion flange is a different size

thought so. in that case you need one off a front diff, of if the spline is different a gu rear diff.
when i fitted the gu's i kept my gq rear flange as the gu rear was different.
also they only charge like 30 extra to lengthen your rear shaft. i wish i had swapped with you before i cut mine.

mud 4by has my old diffs and he is selling them. maybe swap the flage with him
