Cruiser Diff into Lux Question

I did a search and just want to confirm that I have it correct.
All front Diff centres from an 80 Series are High Pinion and WILL just bolt into the front of a Hilux?
Therefore it should bolt in the rear as well - but will be turning the opposite way, which I think they are weaker so this is not advisable?
What ratios are available for the 80 Series?
An airlocker RD23 will fit both the Hilux or 80 Series centres but the RD01 will only fit the Hilux.
What is the benifit of the 80 Series HP centre over the lux centre, Is it any stronger or just the fact that its HP and raises your front drive shaft an inch or so?

Only 4.1 But some 105s come out with 4.3 and some bundys come out with 4.5 4.8 (4.88 are very very rair)

Regarding the ratios.
Which are the petrol and which are the diesel ratios so I know which type to look out for..
And from the above I gather that only swapping the front center and leaving the hilux rear center where it is.. The cruiser rear centre doesnt fit in the hilux housing does it?

With the front- an 80 series will slot in(all 4.1:1 hp), and I think 100 series will (all 4.3:1 hp), and Bundera will as well (some 4.1:1 hp, and some 4.88:1 hp- also maybe 4.3:1 hp(?)and 4.5:1hp). Bundy ones getting hard to come by when I rang around, but would be cheapest option.
With the rear, the cruiser and hilux different altogether.

The 80s front centre is the HP with a 4.1 ratio and will fit a lux diffs front or rear,You could get away with a 4.1 in the rear depending what size tyres and how much horse power your running.
The HP is stronger because it uses the inside of the teeth on the crownwheel and the pinion sits about 4" higher than lux type.
not sure if the 100s centre will work think there differant spline.
the ratio`s in the Bundera are
84-85 2.4TD(2LT) LJ70 4.88
85-92 2.4TD(2LT) LJ70 4.88
84-85 2.4P (22R) RJ70 4.3
85-92 2.4P (22R) RJ70 4.55

Thought id dig this up rather than start a new thread. Im considering high pinion centres for my lux, i know putting the 80 or Bunderra centres in the front is ok, but id like to put one in the rear as well. Will it hold up in the rear running a 2.8D turbo? currently running 33's but will be going up to 37's in the not to distant future. Id probably want to go with the RJ70 4.3's or 4.55's and am I correct in believing that the higher the ratio the weaker the gears?

Most people run the high pinion in the front for drive angle reasons, and a low pinion in the back.....depending on configuration, higher ratios usually weaker. Think the 100 series 4.3 is 43/10 opposed to 80 series 41/10, so there is 2 extra teeth on thesame diameter ringear....thinner lands, easier to break. Seen aftermarket gears for a 75 series thew other day that went back to the old 37/9 in a high pinion (4.11)
One way to find out if the 100 will ft, would be to check ARB locker info on the front, to see if they are different numbers......

Yeah ive been doing a bit of searching and its just not feasable running the high pinion in the back unfortunately. I think the 4.5's have 10 teeth on the pinion as well, this or 4.3's seem like a happy medium between strength and gearing, so ill probably look into putting the rj70 front diff in. 4.11 may be a tad too low, especially running 37's on road.
