75 series rims

Folks,

I want to run MP Trekkers on my 75 series ute. At the present I have 16x7.5 Simes on split rims which are quite functional (much more so than the 15x8" Sunnies) but are dreadfully ugly.

Ideally there is a 7" steel rim available that is more aesthetically pleasing than skinny sunnies (which I don't like) and splits (which I also don't like)

Is anyone aware of any options available to me besides these two?

If its any help I am pretty sure ROH make White Steel Wheels (sunraisia style) in 15x8 to suit the 75 series. www.roh.com.au

Factory alloys are compatible with the 75. These 15x7 wheels were standard equipment in our 4Runners and early 80 series.

80 series GXL steelies look pretty good methinks.

I saw some on the weekend, they look like they'd fit.

16" six stud, are they a 7" rim?

Boing.

Surely somebody knows how wide late model 80s 16" steelies are???

I see lotsa 80s on the road, and not many wearing factory steelies, so someone, somewhere, must have sheds full of 'em........

They are 16" x 8". Here is one painted white on a 75. Not sure if spacers are necessary but the alloy 80 series rims usually hit tie rod ends on a 60 series unless a spacer is used.
