My power steering pump is as noisy as anything.
Is there a bearing that can be replaced in it?
If so, how can it be done?

Any other ideas will be helpful.
Thanks

fill it up perhaps ... ... when they're low on oil ... or need an oil change they cavitate in the pump and make an aweful sound

Bearings can be replaced--the same type of power steering pump is common to many Nissan cars. By swapping over brackets etc, its possible to convert the remote resevoir type the car uses, to an integrated style that the Patrol uses. Noisy pump can be air in system as well

It growls alot and when you turn the wheels it growls even louder.
Also sometimes when the wheel gets turned it gets very difficult to moveeg as if there is no power steer at all.

dont use atf. i always used to melt pumps. to much rpm so was boiling hot.use a full synthetic fluid. i use the stuff v8 super cars use $40 per litre. i can put my finger in the fluid after a hard run.
