Triton buying advice needed

I am looking at buying a '98 triton. It has done 105500 km. Apart from the gearbox is there anything else I need to look out for. It is a 3L V6. I have hear from unreliable sources that they have back dif and universal joint problems, especially when they have a load off road. Does anyone have knowledge of this, Thanks

News to me!
The only trouble I've ever heard about was breaking axles in factory diff-locked Pajeros!
Never heard a thing about universal joints.

I have a MK 3L V6 01 model with 125k on the clock and regularly pull a camp trailer with no hassles. Driveline components are as good as the day it was purchased except for the rattles in the gearbox which they all suffer from.
