Stumped?

This has been happening for the past week,
When turning the ignition on I get a squealing noise from somewhere under the dash - Can't pinpoint where.. 89 GQ
Last's for about 10seconds then stops??
Anyone had this before???

what engine?
if its diesel i think it may have something to do with the vacuum

Nah, sry Mate - Petrol/Gas..
Even with bonnet open, Can't tell exactly where it is coming from.. Frigging annoying..

On that note, have you checked the starter motor

check out the gas system. depending on what system was installed it might have a crook relay or safety switch..
its a little hard to help you with the diagnosis without seeing the vehicle so get prepared for some pretty interesting opinions in this post.

Couldn't be the a/c belt could it? Take the belt off or spray it with belt squeal stopper spray.
