outer cv boot replacement

ok so how do uoi get the shaft out of the cv? got a workshop manual and it only discribes how to do the inner. help
There is a spring clip around the inside of the cv, remove it and the shaft with the inner cv will then come out. Then on the end of the shaft is a circlip remove it and then remove the inner cv from shaft.
