i've come across some good info on the swap but i'm wondering why more people arent doing it? wider track, full floater rear, 4 wheel disk brakes, elocker option ,huge birffs, coils ect. a full writeup with pics would be great but i havent came across that yet. still looking.

Coil conversions are not legal in Qld, thats why I still have leaves.
The blue 45 probably still has leaves for cost, and 45 chassis is narrower than 80 so a direct replacement is not as easy

I had 80 diffs put under my dual cab Hilux. I wanted coils but going leaves was cheaper, unless u do it urself. The leaves were enough work in themselves. The fronts were moved outwards to keep engineer happy. Finding a hi steer arm that works is difficult too if you can't get ur truck to Jmac.
I'm happy with the result tho, and can't wait to do engine conversion so I can drive the thing!
