These are fine. The price is okay too, even with the postage.

They are the dux nutz!

I've got one and she's running a treat, plus 2 mates have them, 1 installed and running fine, other yet to be installed.

For the price they are unbeatable.

Had one in my Toyota for 18 months now. Charges 2nd battery and the one on the camper. No problems. Installed LED and switch in cab. totally recommend it.

brilliant device and piece of piss to install!! :)

Just check your alternator is Ok. These things only charge the second battery when the output rate of the electrical system reaches a certain voltage (13.6v from memory - but I'll sit corrected). I found that my '89 GQ doesn't charge my second battery if I have the headlights on, fan running, etc.

like Charterboat said: Also worth fitting the override switch and LED. This will tell you in the cabin when the second battery is charging, and makes it damn simple to jump start from the second battery in an emergency.

I was going to install a pirana system until the bloke at Battery world showed me his in his car and it was full of mud.

Last piece of advice: They don't come with any sort of electrical protection on the terminals. It's worth while to manufacture some sort of cover so that you don't accidentally short out your battery when you bump it with a spanner.... (bad experience... )
