i am having trouble with the centre bearings on the tail shaft, and wanted to know what would be causing it and how to fix it.
it keeps coming out and bending and this is the second one i have totaly destroyed. should i space the bearing down to compensate the lift or fit a one peise tail shaft. any thoughts on this would be great.

hilux centre bearing

A double cardan is like a double uni (same as the one on your front shaft at the transfer case end).
A one piece does sit slightly lower but it solves a lot of head aches with centre bearings.
I had the tailshaft place make mine out of heaver tube and run the slip joint at the diff end.
I have hit it fairly hard and not damaged it too badly yet but you still need to drive carefully.

sounds like u need to get ur angles sorted out, they only got to be a couple of degrees out for u to start chopping them out. dont no who you got over there but driveline services or sum of the well known body builders should ave a pc program that can sort it out, and if ur twistin tubes go up a diameter or increase ur wall thickness.
