Hi all, 1st post and all that.

I've come to the realisation that the thing missing in my life is a MU.

Seems like there's lots of great info here, good site, keep it up.

If anyone has a diesel, manual that they are selling please post here or pm/email. Not really after an auto thanks.

Has anyone done a swap with a Frontera canopy for the removable glass option?

Thanks

:)

Just as a matter of interest, the NRMA will no-longer insure the MU. Cost of replacement panels/parts too much after an accident.

Well I just bought what I was originally looking for prior to the Mu catching my eye. A SWB Pajero. Very happy with the purchase. :D

bluemu, your Mu looks like a nice one. I noticed it advertised elsewhere (carslaes? drive?...) Hope you sell it soon. ;)

One of the two estimation managers who advise the NRMA board on costing gave a spill at a club meeting a few months back. He said they did insure a couple of MUs but after the hassles of the first claim (everything had to be ordered from the states, some of the parts were wrong and had to be re-shipped, some parts only come as part of a expensive kit etc etc) seems it was cheaper to write it off than repair after a very minor accident. From memory, I think only three were ever insured by them. At least an insurance company got bitten for once but if it cost them, feel sorry for the average joe trying to fix one.

yes but I tryed insuring with them 5 years ago and it was a non event, unless it was a company vehicle with other stuff insured as well.
They may have changed in between then and now, but then as most insurers they don't know the difference between a frontera and Rodeo let alone a MU, they have no idea how to get parts.....
