Turbo or V8 conversion for TJ Wrangler

I have a 2002 TJ Jeep Wrangler with a 4.0lt motor. I have had a Powerchip installed on it, but it still has really bad fuel consumption and it's a little sluggish on the highway. So I would like to put either a Turbo on it or fit a V8 in it. Does anyone know if there is anywhere in Perth to have this work done? Thanks

doubt wether a V8 or turbo will improve your fuel consupmtion.

One word for ya that will beat BOTH of those applications
STROKER
Will go as fast as a turbo, have the torque of a V8 and the fuel consumption of a V6 (about 12l/100km)

505 engineering make a bolt on turbo kit for the warangler.....there are several supercharger kits available too however all are in the states and will cost a fair bit. propably about $9000 by the time you got the kit from the states and fitted it....
as above: the stroker is the best option.

that same page also has info on forced induction
a stroker will not be cheap but is still prob cheaper than importing turbo kits or a V8 conversion if you know some tubo experts I am sure you could built a turbo system for similar costs no matter how you look at this your prob the wrong side of $6kAUD

if you have "really bad" fuel consumption and its "sluggish", I'd be looking for other problems. My TJ goes like a rocket, and averages around 14lt/100kms.
Have a look at the competition guys - most leave the engine stock, aside from extractors, filters, snorkels etc. I'd plug it into a computer and see whether the TPS is dodgy. Mine was at one stage, and it was running extremely rich.
