which fuel tank

i dont want to run my tank dry so how else can i tell what size my tank is my fuel gauge does not work properly when i get to 1/4 of a tank on the gauge i can get 65 litres in my tank. is their any other way i can find out if it is 95 or 65

what car you talkin about.
1/4 tank on gauge you get 65 in, sounds like 95 ltr then........

ITS AN 89 SWB MAVERICK BUT I DONT TRUST MY FUEL GAUGE ANYWAY BECAUSE ITS ALL OVER THE PLACE AT THE BEST OF TIMES

Rough calculation length x height x width in metres
eg: 1m x .5m x .2m = 100L

Put a 5lt tin of fuel in the back and just let the bugger run out. Then poor the 5lt in and goto the servo in fill it up. I have done this a couple of times. Mainly after the long range tank went in. Bloody guage was way out to what it was before hand.
Usually only needs the system primed to the fuel filter and then just battery crank it from there.

yea was going to say that but he doesnt want to run it dry
