Blown CV ?

How do i check which side cv has died
went out today for a lash while turning left in reverse hard down to the boards heard a pop then no front drive
What else could it be ?

jack the front up ,lock the hubs ,have in 4wd n see if the wich wheel is free or noisey,

no front drive?? if the front shaft and pinion flange is still spinning then its a cv almost certainly.. should be able to hear/feel it when u jack the car up and turn the wheel..
