Outer Limits 4x4 Board

I'm in the process of ordering some 2" springs for my middy. The options are 7 leaf or h/duty 8 leaf pack. The front are the same as a 75 series, the rears are the same as 60 series. The question i have is the H/D set would have to be designed for a 6 cyl troopy or ute front and 60 wagon rear which are both much heavier than my BJ, so will they bounce my out the window?. I'm using the vehicle for touring and towing. The springs i'm getting are just Carrolls which i've found to be ok for the money.

The standard springs in there now are 5 front and 6 rear, so i'm thinking the 7 pack will do the job and still give a reasonable ride, but if the 8's will ride ok I'll go for them.

Anyone got experience with this?, need find out by tomorrow morning.

A few years back I decided to fit Dobinsoans leaves on my 73 series.

I too pondered the heavier weights of the 60 and the load carrying 75 and wondered if their springs would be too stiff for me..

In the end I went for their standard spring which is similar to the OEM spring in load carrying but with a 2 1/2" lift.
Im glad I went that way as I dont tow or carry loads except for camping or new widescreen TVs

If you going to do a lot of heavy work get the HD but the standard springs will ride better unloaded

I would go the heavier pack and then "tune" it as needed by removing the middle leaves until you get at ride your happy with .. if your not a tinkerer this may not be the way for you

I went with the 7 pack. It rides good.
