Outer Limits 4x4 Board

As the header says,
I looking at a petrol snorkel, cheap, from a 4cyl, and i have a 2.8 diesel 89 model.
i understand i might need to fab a pipe to the airbox, but, has any seen this or hear of it working,

They are from the same side

You seen it on Ebay as well

I know on the 60 series cruisers, petrol and diesel intakes are on opposite sides.... not sure about the lux's though.
