Outer Limits 4x4 Board

trying to remove the windscreen in a late model, and would prefer to get it out in one piece to use as a template. is this possible because its stuck in with that super strong windscreen glue that never comes off?

My other option would be to cut it out with a woodsaw close to the edge of the glass and cut the glue with a stanley.

Does anyone know how the pannelbeaters/windscreen replacers do it?

Is the screen held in by urethane?

There are two ways to remove the screen, cut the urethane with piano wire or there is a special tool operated by air which you can use as well.

Once you have cut the screen out, scrape off all the old urethane from the windscreen frames and then clean to remove all oils & dirt.

Place the sealant onto the windscreen frame & then place the windscreen onto the sealant ensuring the gaps are correct.

I havent done this for about 12 years so my memory will is scetchy & things have shanged since then so maybe someone who fits screens regularly may be able to help better.

some late model cars have a wire inside the glue/seal,which you connect power to and it melts the glue.if you're lucky you'll have have it on yours.

I used the below as mine was a PITA to come out.

Also a flap disc rocks getting it out.
