Comparing heights of lifted GQ's

I was wondering if anyone with a lifted patrol, preferably 7 inches but any lift close to that, can measure the height their trucks sit off the ground? just so that i could compare what mine is supposed to be at.
My GQ is 7" lift with 35" tyres. Please measure from the ground to the underside of the body at the door sill, or even to the front or rear wheel guard?? whatever is easiest
If anyone has the time that is, cheers.

something i stole from a question i asked along time ago
The standard measurement supplied by Nissan to the goverment through the RVCS website is 560/525 front and rear. This is what the manufactures designate as their standard ride height before they are relaesed to the market.
http://rvcs-prodweb.dot.gov.au/. You can check it yourself if you like. Search in Vehicle/RVD serch, add as little amount of info as possible. All I added was Nissan and Patrol & in the status feild add 'all' and it will search all categories not just the latest

hey OZY, do ya think you would be able to measure your tow rig? that should be pretty similar heights to mine, i should be an inch higher but if yours is higer i know my springs are stuffed. If they have seriously sagged that much surely im in for an exchange!

Sure it is not lift envy ??
I got like this with my kit. Which is a true 4" lift. My old man has binskins supposedly 4" kit but the rear end is raised almost 6 " and the front sits at about 4 1/2"...
Then again 4" spings will often be marketed as 5" and 6 as 7 and so on....
Does the rear end sag badly ??

there could be a lil lift envy, it just seems i thought my truck was pretty big before but now it seems small. I just came from my mechanics shed who has a 5" lift on a GU with 30mm spacers and on a quick measure up it seemed to be about an inch lower so i guess that means its correct, maybe its just me getting used to it, still collects a few looks!
Nah the front end is lower and only by about 25mm i think (im finding it hard to measure), maybe ill just put the spacers in the front to even it up and just use it loL!! ill worry about a body lift later! because i was thinkin of that too, too much thinking not enough using loL!!!

mate, i am in the same boat, GQ wagon, 6" lift, when first done i thought sweet, and now i think, how dam low is this thing,
so i got a GQ shorty also, and i put 6" springs in that too, and thing, geeze its taller than the wagon, now they seem about the same height,
just remember, taller isnt always better, you may find some angles, where that touch taller, may have been enough to throw you over the line, dont worry about it, im over that stage, 6" lift is tha max id chuck in any truck, some may say its too talk, but i find it nice and pretty stable,
if i want bigger rubber, ill start hacking at the guards from now on,

Cheers ozy,
after measuring it against other cars i think it might be all in my head but id still like a meaurement that i can go off to see how close i am to what its mean to be. I think i might put coil spacers in the front to even it up then just be happy woith it for a while lol!! Yea i know too tall is no good but GQ's are so small to begin with i sat next ot standard one the other day and it was so low, almost looked like it had been lowered loL!!

I here you OZI and totaly agree, for the patrol LWB it is a good hight. Stable and comfortable. Wouldn't take a cruiser more than 4" though.
Tiny do you really need spacers !!!!

i definately dont "need" them lol!! but i might put 15mm in the front cause i dont like the nose lowr than the rear, i know its for loading reasons and stuff but meh! hehe
