Sprung over?

hay just a quick question is changing a zook to sprung over illeagal in qld? ... i think it is but just not sure?

yes, unless you get it all engineered and passed etc by nearly everyone.

pm redzook, hes got a SPOA daily driver that is legal

redzook lives in nsw so will be no help. Do a search this question seems to come up weekly

ask the QLD DOT and find out for sure but yes it is basically impossible to do legally in QLD.

I still think everyone should be asking their own state authourities about any questions on legality rather than relying on internet heresay

its perfectly legal if you never get caught, dont have insurance and most importantly dont hit and/or kill someone.. good mate of mine is going spring over on his rocky and has been informed by Q transport that it voids his compulsory third party because it is welding to the diff (which is apparently illegal) and therefore makes your registration void. so it isnt legal even with an engineers report, or a good mate in QLD.

sorry, please prove me wrong though....

if its leaf sprung...... Yes!

You can go coils.... coily diffs.... and get your chassis engineered. or just start with a rolling coily chassis. :D

i got some coily diffs :D the rear diff is setup for a 3 link panhard setup

i have SOA in my daily driver with flat leaf packs and i have not been pulled over...YET. It is not engineerable in Qld.

ner ner mine's all engineer approved, regestered and blue plated in QLD !!!!

The catch is that it was done when it was still alloud so now the blue plate it still current

mines approved for 1600, SPOA, hi steer, ute conversion, roll cage, rear tray, rear disc conversion, harnisesses & powersteering conversion

filled two blue plates :roll:

but can he do a spring over using hilux diffs as they allredy have the spring perches on top so no welding is needed on the diff.

Highly doubt you will get lux diffs engineered.

Im unsure i dont think so he had it a while ago so may have gotten in under old rules similar to oozuk
