well, my rangie has flares, 2.5 inch spring lift, 2 inch body, and I found it fine to drive on 34 inch jungle trekker 2's. For some reason, different cars handle a bit differently when lifted, but I'd say 2 inch spring, 2 inch body and 33's, disco should be fine - apart from sluggish takeoff :finger:

I've got a '97 Disco with no lift. 31" BFG MT's catch the guards with only moderate amounts of articulation.
I may be wrong, but I don't think you'll get 33's to work without guard surgery, even with lift.
Slunnie has done a phote tutorial on cutting the guards on his Series 2 Disco which should be helpful. Check it out at:

Welcome to the world of Land Rovers. You're gunna love it. I bought my first one 2 years ago. Now I own 3 and would buy more if I had room (and if the wife approved!).

You bought a V8 for a daily driver.....your :crazyeyes::lol:

I can't really see the future for this car being kept as a 'daily driver' so to speak ;) :lol:
Vortech Disco's Discovery is a piece of work,looks the goods with 35's on it :cool:

Switch to LPG asap...not dual fuel.

You will get about 550km/tank in an auto driven nice and about 450 ina manual.

Boot them and those figures will drop to 400 and as bad as 250 in a manual. HI JACK can attest to that :shock:

The full LPG conversion would pay for itself in no time.

The rover V8 is why I now drive a TD5 ;) ...700km/75l :armsup:

2 inch boddy and 2 inch spring lift will see 33's catch a bit you can extend bumpstops but gaurd cutting wii be better ps 33's a v8 and wheelspin dont mix rover diffs are very weak but there are quite a few ways to improve most for a round 2000
