im not sure what your talking about... i have had my hilux pulled down to the "pan" many times and as far as i know its a full cab one piece.

i'll assume yours is an SR5 ao it may be different to my ln106

I also need to do this i have nasty rust hole right in the corner of the floor pan under the accelerator pedal and nearly going under the plastic kick panel.

It looks as though it has been eating away under the carpet for ages. Carpet goooone now - that problem fixed but how to fix the hole.

It is good for hosing out the interior - acts as a great plug hole. I was actually thinking of boring out to 50mm or something and putting in a rubber gromet/bung thing.

What do you think?

I'll see your 50mm and raise you 250mm. Below is a couple pics of the rust that was in the floor of my cab. If it really is 50mm (you wont know till you start cutting) I'd definately just go with a bung but remember that theres a good chance you might cut into the body mount there. I think the access holes for the body mount bolts are around 61mm and have a bung. I dont know how water tight it would be in a bog hole.

if the rust is only as bad as the pics above i would just make some plates up only reason i would reckomend using a fllor pan cut is if all the body mounts ribs etc are rusty and it is easyer i have done afew with cuts and its would be easyer to plate them if they arnt into the body mounts ribs
