Outer Limits 4x4 Board

since doing a 2 inch body and 2 inch suspension lift as well a fitting 35s on my GQ the gear shift lever is getting quiet warm ,,i noticed that the rubber boot is putting some pressure on the lever trying to push it out of gear slightly could this be the problem or should i look elswhere
