RIPPA
now have to find more about it
4.2 D with safari turbo and intercooler AND NOS would be quite fun
know of any web sites with info on the bandag bullet?

I moved this from the 4sale section because you should get some more response here.
Also it wasnt realy in the right section to start with it was a Tech Question.

i was going to reply to this but it was over in the for sale area, now that it is out here i figure ill put my 2 cents in
NOS = not really, too much effort
FOR a diesel LPG can do similar things

25% horsepower gains
nos

CAN BE DONE BUT IF YOU DON'T ADD MORE FUEL,THING'S MELT LIKE PISTONS ETC. LPG IS THE GO IS GO IF YOU GOT A TURBO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SOUNDS LIKE SICK FUN,MORE POWER BRING IT ON YEAh BABY!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with BJ and cuz.
NOS for petrol engines, LPG for diesels (but not for NA diesels).
Lp/diesel

And why not for normal asp diesel? seems a bit strange as the LP acts as a catylst for the fuel , eg creates a better more complete burn, If so should still give benifits on na.
But will say this when your making around with c/r over 15 to 1 ,tuning is Extremly important OR BANG,

ahahaha a random idea gone crazy
maybe I should just install a V8 ....... with nos :shocked!:

for it to work properly you will need to run LPG and NOS together. i think the biggest problem you will face is getting it all into the cyclinders in the right ratios. I would set the LPG up so that it is vacumed into the engine after the turbo, and works on a vacume so that when the engine is reving harder the injection body of the LPG is wider open. Through out the rev range the ratio between diesel and LPG would remain constant and the injection of the nos would be swith or solinoid activated as it is in a petrol engine.
So yeah, it would work, but the nos would only burn the LPG and this is were you would pick up an increase in power.

Dozoor - if lpg is used with a NA engine, the lpg displaces air and less air = less oxygen = less power.
LPG injection can make a difference without NOS.

If the LPG displaces the air then the air volume not displacement has to be changed. If the displacement is a liter a minute and the LPG is running at a constant 30%, somewhere in the area of 30% is recommended for most engines....so we will roll with that.....you would say that the ratio is 3:7 allowing the 30 percent of LPG and retaining the displacement, you would need to run (eg) 3:10 to change the volume, yet the air mass would remain the same, so somehow you would need to increase airflow with out fitting a turbo or supercharger and the amount of air would have to proportion with the diesel and LPG mixture......so yeah you basically need forced induction now that i think about it some more.
Your right when you say that LPG will make a difference without NOS, and i believe that LPG alone is far better than NOS alone.

LPG, WILL make a difference , if you are thinking LPG, for performance and you dont have aturbo, i recommend you install a turbo first, as for a few reasons:
1: it is more proven
2: it is more reliable
3: it is easy and cheap to do, in fact just finished another one
LPG alone is better than NOS alone for a diesel, and its easier and cheaper to run two fuels rather than three LPG, NOS and diesel, will take up weight, space and room!!, the LPG displaces air, BUT is a fuel, the NOS, is dangerously stupid along with LPG, if you want that much performance, get a Big Block PETROL, of maybe a KB
LPG and turbo, will make you significantly faster than a similar petrol, but realistically you are in a 4WD not a super car

Check this site out for diesel / LPG performances.

Another lpg diesel site

I see that Bullydog's nitrous kits are made by Nitrous Express(big on the nitrous scene)

The lpg injection would be nice if you have the money to spend, its the only way you will run it on the inlet side of a turbo, not to be mixed up with the standard type of gas system, your standard gas systems won't work at all in a boosted enviroment, its one of the safety features of gas systems ,they require the vacuum to release the fuel into the system so if theres no vacuum theres no gas,The theory is if you use the pleneum chamber from the injected model of the motor you have it should increase the velocity of you inlet charge and therfore be more eificient than a carb type manifold,Now don't ask me or try to explane
The simple answer for it is they same sort of forces that are used in expansion chambers on two strokes, negative and positive pulse waves ,happening whithin the systems.
in the early seventys there was quiet a bit of experimentation with manifold type for different apllications, for instance a company called armour put out a few different manifolds for the holden red super long runners as in manifolds would produce exellent torque features, and great top end power.
little shorty's exellent response from idle. blah blah blah sorry dudes

im wafffling agian its what happens when ya get ancient, least im not repeating myself all the time Yet.

I found water injection on there site.
ive heard of people spraying water in the intake to cool the air but i thought it was stupid. seems people really do it

water injection actualy cools the intake charge and creates a more dense mix. good for treating pinging in high performance motors.

Once u are running big turbos, big injectors and pumps, and LPG u run NOS to cool the engine to prevent it from a melt down.
So u will find that NOS is good for your high performance diesel.
Heres a quote from a performance diesel mag
"NOS is injected after the turbo to slip a little more oxygen into the engine to burn as much fuel as possible and provide a intercooling effect. Believe it or not, NOS is a diesel engines savior and will help protect a diesel thats running tons of fuel, propane, or lots of boost from blowing up.
Most of the cummins and power strokes we've seen that run NOS are using less that 100hp shots of the stuff injectoed after the turbo with out any additonal fuel supplement like u would use on a gasoline engine. Its only a matter of time befor u see a diesel fogger system that is spraying both diesel and NOS into the engine."
Nos is the last step though after Exhaust, Chips, Turbo, LPG and intercooler

Look in the US mags.People have been running big HP diesels for years using Nitros, huge turbo's etc.Ive seen in their mags trucks such as f250s pulling some wild quarter mile times. The US is always the place to look

I've seen that truck launch on the road in front of the place they do the work on it, it's not bad, being 5-10 meters away and can't see jack for all the white smoke around the place.
