G'day,
just wondering if you can buy new wranglers with full coil suspension. Noticed on the web site the Wrangler comes with leaf sprung rear end, is this normal? Is there an option to get coil rear end?
cheers

The tj comes only on coils in each corner since it was released in 96/97 the YJ (previous model) came on leaves.
however i have seen a few stretched TJ with leaves on the back as a custom jobbie!
Your answer is YES and i would like to see a link to where you found this out.

cheros used to have the coil front leaf rear, but wranglers were leaf all round up untill the tj in 96 now there all coils. I think they even have disc brakes all round as of 05 and the 6 speed manual and 4 speed auto, as aposed to the 5 seed manual and 3 speed auto pre 05

he asked why and she apparently answered the same as I did....mah [shrugs] it s jeep thing

that line pops up everywhere.....when on a club trip i get nothing but "jeez ya get some travel in that"...or "thats a good turning circle"....."ts pretty stable on side angles" and stuff.
but given the time when i have done something silly and got stuck they all come out with "OH, must be a jeep thing" Often driving things that they're not tempted to do so.
my reply is always "arnt you gonna give a go?....must be a old girley - man thing"

From 96 coils front and rear, front discs, rear drums until 05. Nothing wrong with standard brake set up.
Beach photo wasn't a Wrangler, was a KJ, and what, you've never seen another brand on fire??
I certainly have and used my extinguisher on a GQ and a Disco over the past couple of years............

insurance? ...if ya cant sell it.
thats the problem with a modded TJ...such a small market to sell to. Any one serious about getting one would get one in stock condition and modd it to suit themselves. Bying already modded seems only half the fun.

Sorry to hear. It looks and works so good sitting stock I am thinking about starting a project on an old one so I have something that needs changing. Hit the lockers and the 4.1 gear ratio will crawl the wall. I have always been a full size Chevy truck guy but I love driving the jeep. The wife traded her mini van for the jeep a few months ago. I always like her in a new vehicle so when its time to get her into a new vehicle again the plan is the Rubicon moves over to begin its toy status. On the last day of the month and the dealer was down on their quota. Told her she was 4000.00 upside down on the trade. She kept walking out and they kept following her. We had a sale called employee pricing on almost all US made vehicles for a few months. That and the dealer discount dropped cost 5000. The registration shows 7000 given for the trade. She paid almost the price of the 4 cylinder with no AC. God knows I was proud of her. That was tough to admit. She started out offering the 2/3 of the sticker, 6 hours later she was signing 2000 under her first offer.

1. Jealousy
1. n- the feeling of wanting something someone else has.
2. n- the feeling of being angry at someone because they are better off then you or they have what you want.
JEALOUSY-JEALOUS
synonyms: envy, covet,
Example: Many people are jealous of wealthy, successful, content or famous people and pretend like they hate them.
2. Jealousy
Jealousy doesn't mean that you dont trust someone. It just means that you care a lot. It means youre scared to lose someone or something or you feel like attention has been deawn away from you.
3. Jealousy
A feeling of unhappiness that someone else appears better off than us.
A completely natural human emotion which we all experience and which is only villified because of the haves continued attempt to maintain their position over the have nots. Let me explain:
Back in History:
Haves want to keep what they got. Have nots want it. More Have nots than Haves so Haves in danger of facing rebellion.
Solution? Use their power over people minds through their control of religion (its a fact that rulling classes control religion for their own ends- think how the mediaeval abbots managed to get so rich and divine rights of king etc.) to make it seem as though wanting what you haven't got is evil. Therefore Have Nots believe them and stop wanting therefore no rebellion therefore Haves get to keep wealth.
In The present:
Less people are religious but this universal belief of religions is deeply inbedded in human psyche so most people still think its wrong to show natural Jealousy therefore usually attack those they are jealous of.

usa,
www.teraflex.biz (all bolt on and about $600 USD.so about $900 by th time you got it here)
or for a local made products kaos 4x4 did them for about $1650.

Has anyone thought about nicking them off another jeep product - cherokee etc ?
Surely $900 is a fair bit to have rear discs.
My MQ has drum rear and drum transfer hand brake and both operate fine off road.

there's acouple of people who have made brackets and use ford falcon parts to booty fab rear disks...... the ones from the states use ford exploders (explorers) discs and calapers (sp) so its very do"able".

Surely the drums are fine?
