Outer Limits 4x4 Board

I read somewhere on here that some people put inline fuel pumps on there 4.2DT after fitting an extra fuel filter. Can anybody help with this? And would you use a pump like on the VL com. that just keeps pumping or a pump that builds up pressure then backs off?

If any pump is required it would be a low pressure pump, no higher than 3psi. It would have to be wired so it switched off if the vehicle was involved in an accident.
