the pump and whole wiring system on my truck has had it. i am now wondering if i can get an electric fuel pump and run it off a toggle switch to pump between the two tanks. does anyone know the capacity on a genuine pump, and will i need to get one of a similar capacity to be able to use the standard pipework??

The pumps burn out, replace this with an after market one. use the orignal wiring as it has low fuel cut out and full tank cut out. make shore that there is a fuel filter fitted, and fit an earth strap between the chassis and the body as there is no earth return between them, so any accessorys, earth through the sub tank wiring and trip the computer out, reset this by disconeting the battrey for a minute or so.

Are you sure it's stuffed check the fuses in car and under the bonnet and turn it on and give it a tap with a hammer, they some times get dirt stuck in them and you just need to clear it out, put a filter between the tank and pump to stop it happening again.

Id love to know more about the full / empty pump cutout
as I fitted a GU ute subtank to my GQ ute....
is it a part of the sub tank sender - or run off the fuel guage voltage drop ??
