Hi my new MTR's on my 60 series have been getting some cuts in the sidewalls when driving on rocky country. Will lowering the pressures help?Is this normal?Does it affect the tyres?Any other tips on looking after tyres.

Don't armourall them let them dry right out - will make them a lot harder, IME it makes them less prone to large gouges

Rotate regularly, keep pressures at least 40psi or higher on road, try not to locking up your brakes, when running low pressures don't generate too much heat in the side walls- associated with speed.
