k iv looked and cant find much useful information on a DIY spoa, wat i know so far is to grind and weld perches, new u bolts, longer shocks, i can get all the steering stuff to miss the leaf pack so thats all cool.
i just wanna know wats the issues of a DIY, i got told somethin about the diff not sittin straight, and causin the tyres to turn on a bad angle, how badly wld that effect driving on/offroad???
is there anything else thats gunna hinder me???
cheers mike

that fella is using hilux diffs so most of driveline angles are sussed out.
like i tried to explain in my dodgy way... u will have farked castor and steer on the tops makeing it light, delayed and veres toward potholes.
its like having huge extended shackles.
but as the thought just hit me because it already got a factory SR ah u steer on the bottom of the tyres... thought i might have been on to something
PS ur a skirt

huge shackles ey...that gives me an idea
so drivin it on the road wld be bad/good???
and all that sh1t that u just said means nothin then???
also with the weldin the perches on the diff for the leaves to sit on is there any size specifics on the plate i use??? i got some 3 and 6mm thats perfect length can i use it???

ive seen 3 mm channel used with it scoloped out to fit the shape of the diffs but i would use the 6mm for the extra stength

yeah i was gunna use the 6mm anyway and weld the 3mm as supports under the base.
so are the diff angle changes that drastic that it matters for onroad driving???

Is this a spoa on both axles? It will give you abour five inches of lift. I don't know the geometry of the Oz Rocky but you will need longer drive shafts. My front shaft got lengthened and the rear got shorter. I had to angle the rear diff up. The front had the same caster as I didn't have to do anything there with the longer drive shaft. You can't just rotate the front diff. You have to cut the knuckles off the tubes and reweld them at the correct angle. This allows you to keep your stock caster.
