transfer gearing

i have heard that by changin a cog in my transfer case i can up the gearin so my car doesnt scream its nut off at 110 km/h...is this true?

yeah its true. there should be a lever marked hi range / low range- move this to high range and the noise at high speed should stop. ( the lever will change the cog for you. )

i assume you have a series land rover ?
if so, you can get a high speed transfer case gearset, which also requires a modified case. i did this - cost $800 diy kit, comes with a changeover case. I am happy with it but its not money well spent imo.

Yours is a 4spd 2dr right ? you can change the high range set in the lt95 transfer for a 0.993 / 1 or something close as opposed to the 1.13/ 1 you would have now - if yours has a hi comp 3.5 then you have this already.
