check to see if the fuel pressure screw has worked loose a bit. This happened on my 2.4 diesel and after 5 minutes the car woudlnt rev at all so i had to pull over and re-adjust the fuel pressure

Just to ask the obvious: Did it go better before hand? As in you've noticed this power loss?

It's just that the old 2.8 aint meant to be no barnstormer......

Welcome to the world of the 2.8 :finger: your only solution for better power is a turbo, mine struggled to maintain 100 on the freeway before i turbo'd it, now i can go up hills in 5th and maintain 120 on the freeway with ease (and poor fuel economy).

Always late in the 2.8

But never breaks! :D

Luxinator its soo hard to diagnose shit on a fourm, is it blowing smoke? Does it feel choked or missing? 1000s of different things can be wrong, you need to be more specific.

With a little bit of work (no turbo) I have seen a 2.8 do 155km/h

my old 2.8 had no trouble sitting on 100 on flat grtound, was slower up hills but thats a diesel for ya... once turbo'd it would sit on 130 no worries, but slower up hills obviosly...

what size tyres are you running?
have you fueled up in a differant spot?

try some injector cleaner?? i founf nulon diesel treatment to work the best!
