Hand Brake Cables

On your F75, ect Rocky, ever found the handbrakes arnt working all that well, yet your sure the shoes are adjusted properly. Well heres a tip. Check under your car, up where the handbrake mechanism comes through the floor, and the two seperate cables start from. Are your rubber boots still in tact? If not, then water/mud/crap is probably getting in there and seizing your cables. How to fix it, well you can replace the cables, or you can do as I did. Remove both cables, and clamp the cable outer in a vise, with the lever end up. Slip the rubber boot off the outer cable, and get some antisieze spray into the small gap between the inner and outer cable. Let it sit for a while, the longer the better, overnight/weekend/week, spraying more antisieze in at intervals. Get an electric drill/screwdriver and hook it up to the inner cable. Carefully start the drill, this should start the inner cable turning inside the outer. Add more lube as you go, slowly increasing the speed. If successful, you should end up being able to freely turn the inner cable while working it back and forth through its normal in use range. When refitting the cable, if your rubber sealing boot is damaged, use an appropriate sized length of heat shrink over what remains of the boot, to keep muck out of your cleaned cable. I did this to mine, and now, along with refurbished rear brakes, I have a fairly good handbrake.
Hope this helps someone.
