Do you have the c10 and lt95 yet? Len at Rangie Wreckers (somerville) has a c6/lt95 combo sitting there!

Are you sure it's a C6 as they are the larger auto ran behind ford big blocks if so i'd be keen otherwise it would be either C4 C9 or C10 which are all basically the same transmission. But yes i have 2 Lt95 machined to suit C4 9 10. The roof is just cut and shut.

Nice work cloughy... It dosent look as difficult as i first thought. Could you post some more pics close ups of joins would be great.. what type rear window are you going to use? Is it 1.6mm plate and 25mmSHS for the braces.

nice lookin machine! i am almost at the same stage on my ute conversion. i was goona buy an ol tray off a cruiser and cut it to fit. can you weld a tray to the chassis like that? will it pass engineering? haha go the ford engines. i just dropped a nicely work 302 windsor with a c4 auto into mine. i used the original rear window from my rangie so i can have the thing open up still. what window are you going to use for yours? and how will yuou mount it?

again verrrrrrrrrryyy nice.

The rear window is outlined from an inter truck but will be cut from perspex and yea 1.6mm probably could of used thinner though. The uprights for the tray will be flanged at the top so it can be lifted off. and whats this about engineerwhozewhatsit. Just got to work out how to cap the ends of the quarter panels then its over to my old man to paint

Cool tray back.

i'm in the UK and i'm about to do a tray myself.I've got a 4 door RRC with the 3.9V8 4 speed auto.

Bobtails are all the rage here but after searching for some ideas i think the tray back is the one for me.More info please/pictures aswell.

Any links to tray back sites? Keep um coming!

Welded the edges then riveted a 150mm strip of the old roof in the inside using sikaflex, then some fibreglass and filler, probably be prone to cracking but should last a while

That is exactly how i did my roof :)

Rebuilt LT95 and C10, Auto has an extra clutch pack, re-machined planetry gearset, Stage 2 shift and standard stall of about 1800rpm.

Which should suit the motor quite well, being a 351 windsor, between 9.5 and 10:1 comp balanced(yet to machine the block), blueprinted and ported heads with microtech injection, hopefully should poke along OK
