They would be 4.56 from factory.
But the only sure way is to count the teeth like suggested.

Or without removing the centre , jack wheels of the ground and count how many turns of the driveshaft it takes to complete one complete turn of the wheel.
Theres your ratio eg 4.1 turns of the driveshaft to 1 turn of the wheel = 4.1 to 1

Place a chalk mark on the wheel and on the ground to make life easier when doing this...
Should only take 1 beer, not 6

Check the code on the firewall plate. Look for a G###. Mine is a G145, 14 being 4.88:1 ratio, the 5 meaning 4 pinion LSD.
Just go to

Easy as......

According to this site,
http://www.brian894x4.com/Gearratiosanddiffs.html yours' is a 8", 4.556, 2 pinion, open diff.
As for bolting the celica box up, its my understanding that the celica boxes were pretty weak anyway so I would probably try and find a later model hilux one as it would already have the provision for the transfer case and have a better chance of fitting your bell housing. Or you could go a supra box, adapter kits are readily available but might be exxy.
Good luck.

Seem to remember the jack up n turn method doesn't work because of planetry gears cummin into play. This system will work if u have locker diff engaged because planetries are out of action.
