73SERIES REVERSE SHACKLE FRONT END

Hi all, I've bought a 73 series which I want to do some comps in. I was thinking of running 60 series diffs (for wider track) but instead i've built some offset rims. I believe that reverse shackling the front end makes a huge difference to steering as well as flex and ride.
Just wondering if anyone has any tips of what I should do with tailshafts etc... And if they know anyone who can do it

AFAIK its fairly straightforward and moves your front axle forward a bit. You will need to be able to weld however.
You just grind the spring hangers off and undo the shackle. Clean up the chassis rails to ready them for welding. Measure where you want your shackle/spring hangers located on the chassis. Weld em up and youre done. Any 4wd workshop will be able to do it for you though.
Tailshafts can be made by pretty much any driveline shop or I think Snake/Big Balls sells extended shafts aswell. You may not even need to extend, it depends on how far the axle goes forward.
http://www.ih8mud.com/tech/soa/7.html has a fairly in depth write up on them which will probably explain things heaps better than my dribble.
Good luck dude!
