well i did a backyard clutch install job..
now every now and again when i take off in first.. the car jumps around.

even though the clutch is fully out and my foot is on accelerator.. i have to put it into 2nd gear for it to stop..

is this a sticky clutch or what is it? how can i fix?

also.. after an exam i was kinda stressed and i accidently ran into a curb going at about 40-50kmhr..one of the big built up ones

now my car drifts to the left really bad.. is this just wheel alignment or could it be something more!!

thanks fellasl! let me know!! your advice is always appreciated.

OK. DID YOU GET THE FLYWHEEL MACHINED?
it will be this if not.
or cable adjustment.

you need to adjust it from the cable mount on the block first. (2 14mm nuts.
then the adjuster on the end of the cable.

tighten it up untill the throw out bearing is touching the pressure plate, then back it off a few turns.

to know when its right you should have around 1.5" on the peddle from the floor before it takes up. and around a inch of freeplay (let the peddle out then push it in and you will feel the throw out bearing touch the pressure plate)

YES IF IT WAS A DECENT HIT.

it is very easy to throw it out.

hope all this helps someway.

my mate did the machining of it.. it wasnt in bad condition so he just used his machine on the back of his ute for it

he did the clutch adjustment very quickly... so i have a feeling it might be that..

the clutch pedal has to come out a very long way before it starts to engage ... is this normal?

will i be wearing my clutch out fast if i dont get it adjusted? and how much can i expect a clutch shop to charge to get it professional adjusted!

cheers
