Hey Guys...

Am i going to run into any major trouble stuffing 80 series steelies onto a Surf?

Stud pattern fine, offset on current rims is 7JJ, offset on new rims is 7J.

Should be OK if you keep the tyre size at 32" or less (you will still loose the front mudflaps), need 2" sus. + 2" body. I have 33's and it scrubbed too much till I put 1" BJ spacers in, now is sweet :D .

G'Day Douggie...

I was gonna ask this on the surf forum but ya know... falling out with a few members and all.

Anyway tire size will stay at 31's on these rims as they are only 7" rims. As for the mud gaurds... gone already. Lift is taken care of by 2" springs in rear and new OME torsion bars wound up.

Body lift ain't happening... too much of a shit fight with modding the bullbar and then not being able to use it for winching/recovery.

Hey mate, a few Surfs get around with 33's mudflaps on. You gotta cut the guts out of the front ones and some of the inner plastic liner, but the rears should clear no probs. Others run 35's and get no rubbing on the flaps.
BTW, nice rig....

They're only 31's... would love 33's but again its only a 2" spring lift so really needs the body lift before i can consider 33's
