I need to get the syncro's (sp) done on my 80 LC gearbox.

I am about to start the ring around to find some where in brissy to get the job done and just after a ballpark figure on how much I have to pay to use as a starting point.
It's just a base model part time 94 cruiser. I know I can't get a firm price on the syncro's until the box is pulled apart but everything else can be sorted before the job starts.
I really dont have the place or the equipment to do the job safely.

Thanks for your help.

it's not a hard gearbox to get out an in yourself, especially if you have a few mates.

I can get one out, on my own, with the transfer removed separately, in about 3 hours, and back in and driving in about the same, maybe slightly longer if I'm having a retard day, with no special tools.

any shop that charges more than 5 -6 hours for R&R is having yo on - say $400 tops. the overhaul is where the $ are; if it's hard to shift it's likely to also want new dogs, and you wouldn't overhaul the box without replacing all the bearings.
