Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Here are some photos of my rangie, at the monent this is all have as i sold it but i am buying it back for 2k unregistered and motor not running.
If it is not an easy fix i will go for a 307 chev that i have lined up for $400.
At the moment its the stock 3.5, pretty sure its standard height, I cut the guards and put on a set of 32inch mongrels

How much lift would it take to fit 37-38s? And im not worried about cutting guards.

I think cutting guards would be the least of your worries, driveline breakages would be your main concern.

Hello... Maxi Drive/McNamara

A 4" lift and 2" body lift will fit 37s with a little bit of cutting.

For more info...have a look at AnthonyP's build up pics. His white RR was on 37" Creepies and will soon be running on 39" Irocs.

Ok brakeges are you talking axles and CV's mainly or are the rovers weaker than i thought. Im not one to just go flat out, id rather crawl where possible. And 4" suspension lift i am having trouble finding anyone who wants to deal with rangie suspension let alone 4" all i manage to find is 2". I know snake racing have developed one but are still putting it through engineering and will come at cost, >$3500. So if anyone has knows where i can get a tried and tested 4" lift kit at a resonable price, please let me know.

Just dont deal with anyone that says there a rangie specialist! Find someone that wants to work for there money and that is keen to get the job done and your set. Although if you collect all your gear its pretty simple change your suspension yourself.

I would have no probs fitting the suspension myself, but who sells 4" lift coils and shocks to suit. I am unsure about what i need to do with hte radius arms, since reading through this forum it looks like i need to bend them (only the rear from what i gather) for this amount of lift why? rotated swiviles? Im in NSW hour and a bit south of sydney. It seems most of the rangie owners are in melbourn area.

ok iv got a 4inch setup running 37s, firstly it doesnt rub at all but i did cut the guards and did a 2 inch body lift as well as the suspension work.

1. front swivels i rotated the swivel balls - slotted them myself and refitted.

2. up front - i have 2 inch lifted coils with coil spring spacers

3. round back i have 4 inch lifted lovells that shane from 4wd stuff got me - special order wernt very expensive but.

4 i used procomp shockies

5. my rims are offset 3 inches - expensive also because they custom rims made by a sprint car workshop made for me.this was because the first problem i encounted when i fitted them on standard rims was they rubbed like a ba$tard on the front control arms when steering. now makes the wheel track of the vehicle 6inches wider VERY STABLE !

main problem i found with running 37s is the drive line wont like it very much so thats why i read all the forums and opted for a toyota centre conversion, mainly because im an apprentice sparky with limited money and dont have the money for maxidrive stuff and barely could afford the jack axles...did all the work myself also.

now im still in the development stages and ironing all the bugs out but its basically done i get heaps of flex out of the setup...might look at upgrading the front springs to 4"- 6" maybe also..if anyone can suggst a spring that would suit?

Don't you have to bash the footwells in for 37's? Someone I know had to do that due to the amount of uptravel he has....

I only had trouble on the front section of the wheel wells, the foot wells were fine although its looking to be a diff story with the 39s

It sounds fairly simple ill have to get in touch with shane buy some gear and get started
