custom snorkels

I wanna make a snorkel for my GQ patrol (not that it matters what car). i am tossing up between 3" stainless steel with rubber elbows or 3" steel powdercoated. im just after some pictures of anyone who has done something similar, a rough cost factor and places to buy the elbows from...

I saw a thread not long ago (I thought it was the one above) where a guy at Lilydale midas was recommended to do custom snorkels.
I've searched, read and re-read a whole lot of threads and can't find it anywhere. Can anyone help me out?

rubber bends are dearer than s/steel mandrel bends. midway metals
