YES!!! Looked at getting a new dizzy tb42 carby, wanted something over $1000, $2.50 for each of those little clips that hold your grill on, i think there are about 12, and they snap again in less than 12 months (cable ties rock!) I'm sure there are other things that ive priced, but dont remember cauz i didn't pay them!
marin
p.s. every so often they do have a price that is on par with repco etc.

with the grill clips, i replaced mine with those small square plastic plugs, that you can screw into, it holds the grill on much tighter,
wheel nuts are cheaper from the local tyre place, and diff plugs are cheaper at a wreakers, most aree still in good nick as they hardly get used,

AVM isnt as strong as geniune..
ive blown up aftermarket hubs before and the geniune ones are harder to break.

put a big grub screw in its place, couldn't cost more then a few $$, never cheched the thread but if its bsp a brass fitting will be fine
Just replace your wheel studs and nuts, think they were $30 for 6.

Go with the captive nuts they use on computer cabinets. they clip straight in and come with plastic washers, and good screws.

Try this for expensive. I hate Nissan. They continue to keep their prices high, when Toyota has just dropped their parts prices dramaticly so they can compete with aftermakret parts (In NZ anyway)
front and rear 4.6 ring and pinion (geniune) $3183.43NZ
Manual locking freewheeling hubs (geniune) $1850.96NZ
You can buy a whole parts truck for that!!!!
So if anyone has some 4.6 ratios for the front and rear of an MK (h233b lsd and c220) and are willing to ship to NZ PM me)

Same with my GQ, I have an RB30 motor, Skyline/Commodore and Holden are 30 to 50% cheaper for the same bit, eg Timing belts and tensioner bearing etc.

From my experiences yesterday I'd have to say that it's also normal for the Nissan parts guys to have no f'ing idea what they are talking about, also...

that would depend on 234239048 different things
1 being how long he had worked there.. having worked in spareparts, it isnt an easy job to just jump into... every make, model etc are different.
local nissan dealer in frankston had 2 great blokes brett and george.. worked there 10 yrs+ ea, knew every make, model, and usually part #'s and if they had em in stock. they both left :(

WTF? When I called Ford they told me to call Nissan as they have never stocked parts for the maverick. Makes sense since every part on my car has nissan written on it somewhere. Which ford dealer still has parts mate??

It`s true that Toyota have dropped prices. Here in UK Nissan Patrol prices are shocking. They are a shower of robbing bastards! I love my big truck but that is one reason old Patrols aint worth anything here ( rust is the other). There is a rubber cup that sits in top of front coil......Nissan wanted £25.oo for one. Fuck you I`ll turn it round mate. Ive owned Jaguar BMW Merc, all old ones which needed plenty spares but I`ve never paid this kind of money for spares in my life. £ 5.00 each for m12 exhaust nuts
.

No genuine Nissan,Toyota,Rover etc are ever cheap. All parts no matter how small are expensive. Pulsar/Pintara's have the same wheel nuts as the Patrol..
