Blinker issues`

Went to drive up shops tonight, left blinker workin fine.
Right one - Nothing - not even the little arrow on the instrument panel, but making a weird clicking sound - twice as fast as left blinker goes...
Havent checked much yet, but dont think it would be globes, or the dash light would still be working. Dont think it would be flasher can as left is still working.
Hazard lights wont work either - it does the clickign thing.
Anyone had this before? Hoping its not a major switch replacement..
Ideas?
Trailer plug?

i had the same thing and the hazzard wouldn't work at all ended up being the flasher being stuffed which in turn kept blowing the flasher and turn signal fuses. from memory a genuine flasher can was $75 and an aftermarket from supercrap was about 20
hope this helps ya bogged

Shagged bulb (although they usually still work, just faster)... bad earth or a dodgy flasher can as Mav suggests. I did have a trailer plug loose its screw and move back to short out on the metal case a while ago... caused a shitload of drama.

Bruce, the same thing happened to mine and the auto leccy said it was common with GQ's. The wires are so thin they can get caught between the light body and the chassis and eventually short out. As a test turn your right indicator on and hit the light body with the palm of your hand if it changes it's a pretty good indicator that's your problem. It's even worth to pull the indicator assembly out and check the wiring for any obvious cuts or shorting out marks. If there are give the wire a good clean then tape the whole length you can get to with electrical tape and be careful when putting the assembly back in that the wire isn't pinched between light and body.
Regards Andrew.

By the way Bruce, I think I've got a spare flasher can you can try if you want. I'm pretty sure it's in the car, give me a ring tomorrow if you like.
Regards Andrew.

Appears to be the Trailer Plug.. removed it and as soon as I undid the screws and moved it, the blinkers worked.
Checked for loose wires, none there

and there is none.. Must be shorting out in there somewhere between chassis and towbar
NFI, screwed it back on and all is fine.

for now
