Does anybody or has anybody ever changed a front drag link on a GQ? Mine is wearing out and needs changing and was wondering how hard they are to change? I can get it done for $200 but if its an easy job I was considering doing it myself.

5 minute job. tap the side of the pitman arm and swivel hub pivot right next to the rod end this will free it up and straight out (take nut off obviously. fit the new one and split pin the nit all good. don't try to hit the thread this rarely works and needs 10x the force of a small tap to the side

Hit it with WD40 a day or two before you intend doing it

Dad just got a H/D drag link with aftermarket tierod ends from Cheezy for about $200. Much stronger than the original and you can replace th tierod ends when they wear out, unlinke the original piece.
