OK i have decided to beef up my rear ams for my Defender.I have a set of arms off a rangie lying around which i can use. What i would like to know is can i use them on my Defender as i have noticed they are different diameter Rangie=32mm and Defender=23mm is this the only difference??

Cheers Kev.....

They should go across - I carry a couple of spares for club trips, we've folded up a couple in the last year or two.

Threads can be different, just swap all the nuts over.

Interesting that the rangie is bigger, there are some rangie arms that are miniscule!

Cheers Max and yeah i thought it a little strange that the rangie arms are bigger!!But measured the arms on my 84 rangie and there defiantly bigger than the ones on my 110 :?

Disco arms are also smaller, the same as your Defender one's i'd imagine.

i came across this fact the other day also!
i think while the disco/defender ones are smaller in dia, the wall
thickness is thicker than the rangie ones.
