Hey guys,
I just picked up a 97 disco V8 auto on LPG(impco I think). I was just wondering what do I have to do different when servicing a 4wd on LPG.
Thanks
Andy

Servicing will be no different, just pay more attention to the ignition system - plugs/ leads / cap/ button / coil etc and check the lpg converter for build up of solids and leaks.

Is it running on straight gas? I think there is a special oil you can buy to lubricate the valves. Only needed if on straight gas though so Im told.

Actually, the only differences with LPG OILS is that they are better equipped to handle the nitrogen compounds collected in a gas engine's oil. The nitrates build up, and with condensed water in the oil create nitric acid - just the thing to root your main bearings. Nothing to do with the valves at all.
Oils in LPG motors usually look clean even at the time of replacement, but what you can't see is the oil PH. Use a good LPG tolerant oil and change at normal intervals an no less.
