4agze... keep it light. That motor will be a monster with 6 or 8 : 1 gearing behind it

I agree...with gearing I don't see a real need for big engine like the V6. 4AGZE has plenty of power and is light as mick said..isn't that what everyone thinks is the main advantage of a zook anyway? cheers

How about a 4agze to a divorced lux cases, keep the whole lot light but upgrade to a dual case setup. you can buy plates that allow you to use a lux case in a divorced setup(not sure if you could use duals in this setup but I imagine that its feasible).

hehe, i said coils or coilovers :)

but yeah since i got pricing bits and peices for the V6 setup, things started going thru my head, if i go this way ill end up with a top heavy POS thats got too much weight over the front axle.

i will b running 80 series diffs.
39.5 IROK's.
coils F&R or coilovers
Is it going to be engineered and registered in NSW. I hope you go production -modified `cause it wont pass rego in NSW in two years time.

If its for comp use, then it wont matter. I`d go the coilovers. and the 4agze with a corolaa auto into a calmini case, like FNZOOK did few years ago.

yes, yes, yes do this Ben! 4AGZE into a corolla trimatic mated to a zook case (get a Sambox2, $500US)
my pitt crew on the weekend both sucessfully run this combo and it works unreal. It'll piss all over any V6 Commo motor!
Just get the auto rebuild and toughened up from the start.

the superchargers can be opperated via a switch too (Mad Max style)

Don't know the regs up there, but I think your main issue will be weight (if you want registration). Down here it appears that you need to have enough room in your GVM to take minimum 2 ppl (@ 80kg each), a full tank of fuel (40l = 30 kg, and 200 kg to spare to be engineerable. So take your GVM, subtract (160 + 30 + 200) 390 kg, and that is the maximum dry weight you can be.

Basically Santos, the car will be very heavily modified, and unless the car is built under the supervision of an engineer, plated and categorised correctly, when it goes for its next inspection it will fail due to the nature of the modifications.

I am in VIC theough where the rules are different, so if I am off the tractk let me know.

bah! is that all? had me worried.. with alll the exta clamping down on road rules in nsw i thought you where saying 'no more non g13 blocks'
(the 15yr rule ended before i was aware of it... shame i wanted a 92 Cara.

the 4agze couldn't be that much heavier than a g13ba... after all our gvm would ha to have been taken from a 'fully optioned' sierra and as most of us have no air con there must be weight to sub in the supercharger

Have you thought of trying a 2l V6 vitara conversion. Keep with the suzuki stuff and it will turn out awesome. What would be awesome is a 1.6l and rice it out and turbo/SC with lots of internal goodies and extras. Just my opinion so dont get offended.
BTW what car does the 4AGZE come from im confused?

4agze

Post by CanberraMav »

The 4AGZE came out of Toyota Trueno's and out of MR2 celica's.

There are slight differences in power output throughout the range and from memory had better pistons in the older ones?

4AGZE had oil squirters in the bottom of the pistons to keep them cool and lubed and they also came in front wheel corolla's (and the last of the rear wheel drive corolla's as well)

i think bens tranny has overheating probs i run a v8 tranny cooler on mine no probs at all i also run a 14 in thermo full time to keep it cool :D plus the standard fan .almost all auto failures are due to heat probs i dont think youll have any strength issues though.
