Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Hello all,

I have a Nissan MQ Patrol, and I have
issues with the clutch.

Its a bit hard to be specific on exactly where
the problem lies.. Though I will explain it
as it is:

As per usual, I would start it, put the gear in neutral
and then change to Gear 1, but the clutch
itself is not hard to push down - it is fully movable
with complete ease, and it wont let me change to any gear
from neutral.. I do have the manual and have looked
through it a dozen times but it doesnt explain the problem...

If anyone has any general answers to a problem like this,
I would glady appreciate it.

Do you have any fluid in the clutch master cilinder bottle, if there is no fluid you may have a leak and as a resault there is air in your sistem and no connection between the clutch pedal and clutch itself!

I have been adding fluid and been pumping
it through by using the clutch pedal, but the
pedal is still fully movable, not one piece of
strength needed to move it...

There are air bubbles coming through and I have been pumping it t, but still the same... There must be air coming
through somewhere..

Any other ideas at all?

You've been adding fluid so it must be going somewhere. Check under the dash where the pedals come through the firewall you may find a leak. If so, the master cylinder is buggered. Actually, not the cylinder itself but the seals inside. About $10.00 - 15.00 bucks for new seals should see it right. Some will say it is best to replace master cylinder & they may be right but I tried the seals first 2.5 years ago with no problems since.

Bingo, they're cheap as chips, about $36 for the master and around $30 for the slave, thats aftermarket of course, got mine from mr brakes, they're a brand called "top performance"

new clutch master and slave is the answer to that litttle problem as said above. once you replace them you wont need to again
