Been running them in Europe for ages... Slowly filtered down to us. I'm told that some of the additives in low sulphur diesel get caught up in the cat.

I understand they are "scrubber" not CAT convertors......get rid of carbon content in the exaust, but maybe mistakes, they my run both now??

I am pretty sure the reason diesels didnt have cat's was because of thier "commercial" status not that they didnt do anything for the emisions of diesels.

They work much the same as petrol cats. Diesels have an astronomical amount of NOx emmisions because of their high compression temps. To conform to EuroIII the manufactures had to install them in order to pass the standard.
