Whilst re-attaching the locker air line I noticed something was not right with the a-fram ball joint mount...
Lets see some pics of strengthened ones please

Nice one!
I've seen it before, and probably see it again too.
I've just done a full fillet weld underneath after straightening and preheated the area to avoid stress fractures either side of the welds. Don't go too berserk, LESS IS MORE. A good weld in the right place is better than adding gussets and plates etc where the stress will just cause a fracture from a LACK of flex.
If you continue the weld all the way around from one side to the other behind the nut seat, then you should be OK. ( Hope your inverted welding is good, or it looks like the diff is out already?)
Have fun

I agree with Justin - just need to reweld it properly. This is fairly common - happened on a mates rangie, he rewelded it properly, and 3 years later it is still fine.

Happened to mine too, but it came clean off!
Quick solution to get home was to chain the arm back to the diff housing, then wrap winch cable around the lot and keep it tight.
Drove the whole 60km home like that, even thru a booze bus!
Cheezy rebuilt the mount with thicker plate steel and it's held up bloody well since.
He said the hardest part was getting the taper right for the ball joint.
You also need to get the height right so you can get a ring spanner in there to do up the nut.
