Hey guys,

Just had a call from a mate and he is chasing some info on chipping up his 98 GU 4.5 L Patrol.

Does anyone know whos making them and expected power once installed?

Any info would be great..

Thanks

uni chip do 2 one for petrol and i believe a duel chip for petrol/gas,
weve got a unichip don't know the difference in power from standard as we bought the patrol with it already fitted .

i did get one installed on my old 97 courier 2.6 petrol power house  wasn,t real impressed as it just gave it more topend , and i specifically asked for more low to mid range ? i think they were probably just incompetent. but it did increase power according to the dyno carn't remember if it was %8 or 10 ?

cheers jai

Sweet, any idea on what it's worth? Is it a drive in fit or can I do it myself (I am an electrician so I doubt I'll kill myself, or the car) :D

I think they tune each module on each car to suit the owners requirements don't they?

I had a duel map Uni-Chip fitted to my 4.5 Gu 6 months ago.
Very pleased! Throttle resonse is instant and revs right through the rev range with no hesitations on petrol, which i used to get before the chip was fitted. after the chip was fitted and the truck dyno tuned, my Gu wagon that weighs in at 3 ton. On 35 Claws was dynoed at 81 Kw at the rear wheels.

Cheers Grant.
