Has anybody done a body lift in a gq (or anything really) that had a gas system? I've read all the threads, links etc on how it is done normally, but want to find out if the filler hose needs lengthening, or wiring neeeds adjusting, and if so does a licensed lpg fitter have to do it?? i only want to go 50mm. Thanks

Yep did a 2" Budy lift on mine with LPG

There was no problem at all. the filler line has more than enought slack to handel even a 4" lift.

the only thing is that under my bonnet i have the LPG lock off valve that is before the converter. I had to actually remove the bolts that hold it to the body and drop them slightly to prevent hte LPG pipes from kinking from under the body.

Hoever, there is enough slack int he pipes to allow the rotation so you can simply lower it a 1" and re-attach it if you have one.

The main part to look out for is under hte body. Make sure that hte LPG pipes from the tank to the converter aren't attached to the body at any point, if they are release them and mount them to the chassis. they should't be mounted to the body at all but some dodgy ones can be.

Apart from that its a simple process, and if you have the time afterwards, you can look at lifting the tank up a bit, as you will gain extra clearance between tank and body. just a thought
